ATi Vs nVidia ... Again

Gamers Depot takes a look at the ATi Radeon 9800 and GeforceFX 5900 and are more than honest in their conclusions.
  • "I don’t know how anyone could objectively look at the performance we’ve seen in these benchmarks and conclude that a 5900 Ultra is a smarter buying decision than a 9800 Pro – even the 128MB 9800 Pro (as used in the tests here) trumps the lofty 256MB 5900 Ultra. If you’re still “stuck in the past” and think that ATI is plagued with driver issues, than go ahead and keep your head stuck in the sand like an ostrich, buy a 5900 Ultra and then start crying when your pals are smoking your ass in games like Half Life 2 and Halo because they’re running ATI hardware."

All I'm asking is to cut back on the repetitive posts. If thats asking too much, then its time for me to leave because this is all I'm reading. I have a high respect for both companies and I'm sick of hearing the bickering back and forth between them.

Well I like the repetitive posts, of course I don't have a high respect for one of them. Actually I have no respect for one of them. Guess which?

You don't have to leave . . . can't you just skip reading the stuff you don't like? There were 187 other active threads to choose from when I came here tonight . . . .

I enjoy reading the News Section for upcoming and leaked information about new things. The problem is, I'm checking the forums almost hourly for new topics, and replies to others, and the bulk is ATI/nVidia Review bashing (or the like) and I'm sick of it. I understand my leaving won't solve the problem but if getting away from the forums will calm my fustration, then thats the way it will have to be.

Side note: If the news posters are too occupied with posting topic after topic (after topic after topic)..., to realize how redundant one subject is getting, then I'll ask they be talk to.
