'ER' Stitches Up Video Game Deal

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Video games based on television's long-running drama "ER" will debut with the 11th season of the hit NBC show in September 2004.

Legacy Interactive will announce shortly that it signed a licensing deal with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to develop two "ER" games. The PC games will feature the likeness and voices of several "ER" cast members and feature them on the box art and marketing.

In the game debuting next year, a player begins as a sub-intern whose goal is to grow his or her career while participating in the ongoing dramas that unfold in the emergency room. Ethical dilemmas, life-and-death decisions and romance are all part of the game.

Legacy has the rights to a second game, which could arrive in 2005.
