Let's face it. Linux on the desktop is not working. I'm not saying it isn't working for you, the power user who has sworn off Windows no matter what. I'm talking about everyone else, the 95% of people that studies from various source have shown use Windows as their desktop OS. Mac and Linux advocates squabble over the other 5%, and if you sir, want to call those studies lies perpetrated by Microsoft funds, then let me kindly ask you to pull your head out of your ass. I know what you're saying "but you can only buy a computer with Windows or Mac OSX, you can't buy a computer with Linux on it." You're right, the Microsoft monopoly has the retail channels locked up, however that is not the only reason, and in my opinion, it's over-emphasized as the main reason why Linux isn't a more powerful force on the desktop.
