Intel re-engineers Canterwood for next enthusiast generation

"A REPORT in today's Digitimes claims that Intel has changed its chipset roadmap again and wedged in a new codename called Alderwood, which will succeed Canterwood as its top end offering.

Alderwood, the report says, will use DDR2 memory, have an 800MHz front side bus and will be targeted, just like Canterwood was, as the firm's enthusiast and gaming product."

Typical, I go and buy a new Canterwood board and what happens not even 2 days later, they announce it's successor. Ah well, thats the price of progress I suppose
