Radeon 9700 pro with 4-gpu's and 1GB RAM
"THE 64,000-BIT QUESTION, at least for now, is who is faster, ATI or Nvidia? Or, rather, let's say their partners who actually sell cards with their chips. In fact, the truth is that neither the Radeon 9800XT nor the Geforce FX 5950 Ultra is the fastest card on market.
A few days ago our friends at Darkcrow sent us the astonishing specification of what we believe could be a faster bit of hardware, based on recently-discovered fifth generation chips. And this is built for one institution that simply doesn’t care about the cost of the solution. Nah, not Hollywood. We are talking about the military, the US military, of course, which reckons it does need this visualization solution. " Source: TheInquirer |

Fuck'n slick! Wish I had more money than brains to create such a overkill video solution. Luckily for us the US military does.

I followed a few of those links and got to a site called, E&S, that is supposed to be the original source for the news.
On that site are some links to SIM Demos. Here's one that's quite impressive: http://www.es.com/resources/53a_overview.wmv And another: http://www.es.com/video/what-is-d3.wmv BUT, I can't find anything there about this card. Also, Inquirer says something about the 'fastest card on the market'. From what I understand, this super duper card actually is not on the market. Or where is the information otherwise? I can't find it.

Very Nice.
Only problem is it needs 2 AGP slots side by each to work as its a double stacked card!

not that difficult to spot as the agp slot is set further back than pci.
but looking at it it looks like it would be a little cramed for space in a normal atx case. not to mention the cost. |
