If you think you know Final Fantasy, you might have to think again when FFX-2 comes out. The biggest changes ever made to the series are all right here, starting with the fact that for the first time, it's a direct sequel to one of the games. In an effort to help you get acclimated with the new tone, new battle system, and new blood developing the game, we've put together an Illustrated Primer to Final Fantasy X-2.

First, we bring you up to speed on what's been happening in Spira since the last time you visited, with a look at how the main party members of FFX have changed in the intervening years, featuring commentary by the producer and director on how they approached this game differently. Then, a guide to the new people you'll meet in X-2, with the scenario writer explaining how he went about creating a new story from the ashes of the old. After that, we've got an interactive look at the revamped battle system, with the battle director offering his thoughts on the updated combat.

Finally, there's the chance to play dress-up with the biggest new change: the wild, over-the-top costumes for the three girls. All the costumes are available for viewing (or are they?) and the main costume designer will be on hand to discuss where such outlandish fashions came from. Costumes look pretty creative, personally never played any final fantasy though...

Final Fantasy 5 was the game that caused my very first ATi card to get RMA'd. Something about the textures wasn't being rendered properly. ATi had the card back to me in a week's time and working great.

I did finish FF 7.
