MemMonster 4.20
The main reason of most computer problems is: low Memory and Windows resources. Memory is most crucial in computer speed and stability. Unfortunately, there are problems with memory management in Windows.
Many of today's shareware/freeware are poor written applications that leave some amount of memory allocated, even if it is not needed any more. Unfortunately, memory management in Windows cannot detect these errors. Another problem, many programmers use large libraries (DLLs) only to make their programs look nice. They never thought that some of these libraries are very large and consume a notable amount of memory, even if the program doesn't really need it. This will make your computer sluggish or unstable, you have to restart Windows frequently due to crashes and lock ups. MemMonster works to make your Windows does some memory trash collection, unloads any unnecessary dll, and moves current applications out to the swap file. MemMonster is the fastest memory manager which enables your computer to work more efficiently. No matter how much memory you have on your computer, MemMonster will definitely help your computer work faster. Moreover, MemMonster makes your computer much more stable by discovering applications that can cause crashes, lockups, slowdowns of your computer. MemMonster will manage your computer memory and resources so that you will forget about Windows crashes and fatal error messages. MemMonster uses a new sophisticated algorithm which allows fast memory optimization and full recovery. MemMonster will enable your computer to respond fast even in memory overload conditions. So, you will not have any more trouble working with memory consuming multimedia and Internet applications. MemMonster will significantly reduce the number of Windows crashes. MemMonster will do all the job while it works quietly in the background or you can explore facilities of Memory Monitor, Memory Tuning, and Task Manager to detect and terminate programs that cause memory and resources leaks. Features: · Increases available computer memory up to 300% · Makes your computer to work more efficiently · Makes your computer much more stable · Performance-tunes your file caching: optimize disk file cache for standard user or power user, multimedia and 3D games, enable conservative swap file usage. I can't believe you posted a junk program like this, Mem defragger programs cause way more problems then anything! Not letting the OS do it's job. This has been said and verified by a lot of places like one I can remember off hand, Leo laporte of Screensavers/TechTv. No matter what you think of the guy, he's smart as hell! And well respected. Years ago with Win 95/98 these programs may have had a place.
But now, with XP these are a waste of money and known problem causers. Not needed! Just buy some more memory! |

Well I dont know about that. Win XP does eat up some 50-100mb of stuff most users never use. Thats kinda valuable ram, dont know if these ram programs move those into the virtual memory or what it does. Would be nice if they did, considering most users dont know how to disable all that crap windows has on.

I have 1024mb ram... at reboot windows and other programs im running take up around 350mb of it... leaving me with around 700mb for gaming... ive yet to play a game thats uses that much ram, been close though a few times (Star Wars Galaxies). I hope I can live with 1gb for a while longer though...
These kinda programs do screw up stuff once in a while though, I pretty much just use em for displaying how much ram I have free. So yeah I guess spending money on getting more ram is a better choice, not just for stability but for overal speed increase. |
