9600 XT vs 5700 Ultra Middleweight Showdown

In the alternate universe of the Internet, where videocards take on lives of their own we are gearing up for a battle of epic proportions. Forget the drama of Mike Tyson biting off ears or the mystery of Don King's ever expanding volume of hair because that is nothing compared to the controversy and excitement that is generated in the videocard world. In the middleweight division of video cards we have but two contenders. Forget about the chest thumping Xabre or the some 2-bit integrated solution. When push comes to shove it comes down in the 200$ price range we have only two fighters contesting for undisputed value champion. In the red corner we have the ATI 9600 XT and in the green corner we have the NVidia 5700 Ultra. Each of the respective corners have been prepping for months for this showdown for the title of undisputed Holiday 2003 champion. Bad blood has been brewing for the better part of a year with the ATi camp surprising Nvidia with a some big knockouts from which Nvidia has not fully recovered yet. Today we take a closer look at each of the contenders-

ok,

But seriously....

I love the all in wonder I dea... and always have... though I love to use dual monitors....

Ok, well I gues, I must ask....

Is this card going to be a big increase over my ti 4200?? AND is it going to keep up with The newer dx9 games for at least 6-8 months?

And would now be a good time to buy, or shall I wait....

(Looking for awsome speed for games.... Dual monitors.... and if it has the All IN Wonder surprize... ITS EVEN BETTER.... )

THOUGH GAMES AND DUAL MONITORS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT.

Donator
Won't an old, dusty, used, and abused 9700pro" mop the floor" with both of these cards? Or even a 9700pro "lite"?- What about just a plain 9700np? It would be hard for me to spend 200 dollars on either of these cards.
