Attn: All DH Members UT2003 Frag Fest Night

Alright guys and gals here is your chance to do some UT2003 fragging here with your fellow DH members. The server has been provided by our very own Judas here at DH. What he needs is for as many of you as possible to get on the server and hammer away at his ping right now to test out how many people the server can handle. The times will be for testing 9PM EST/ 6 PM PST.

The 20th of December on a Saturday is when the official night of fun will begin. Judas' server can be automatically accesed by clicking here if that doesnt work manually try via console 24.78.201.198 .

Other discussion and details can be found here in this thread. You will also need both of the official bonus packs for UT2003 to be able to play.

So please all of you DH members get on the server as soon as you can and stay awhile and help out. There will be some great fun and we look forward to seeing all of you there now and on Saturday the 20th!

i really hope some more people join....i'd really like to stress....test.... and expand.... if things go well..might put up more servers for other games.... like BF1942 or whatnot...

Just played on the server: nice server! Of course there weren't any other people on at the time but the server's performance seems to be pretty good. I'm more of a CTF person but DOM is fun too! Man, it's been a while since I played UT2003.... MOHAA plays at a snail's pace compared to this! I'll have to play this a bit more often to get my UT groove back.

Ya, I used to play a lot of UT (CTF) and then UT2003 came along and I was like-wow. Played it and played it, though mostly offline with 15 bots on CTF maps. Whenever i play the game my hands and feet start to get real cold and sweat a little and I can feel the vains in my head pulsing, almost giving me a headache but not quite...breathing gets erratic too.... I don't get that feeling in MOHAA, only in UT2003 when the game speed is up some. Any of y'all get that feeling? I'm not too sure what it is.... Anyway I wasn't much of a fragger but was more of a runner/dodger in a CTF game. Anything to get me to the flag and back was what i was good at, so the other in the other play modes (especially DM and TDM) I wasn't all that great. With DD, BR, and CTF youdidn't have to have the highest frag count, you just needed to get that flag or goal or point and stop the other team from doing so. Even the worst are good for distractions and you can always just fire off all your ammo at one target

Yes i know exactly what you mean.....i have often wondered what a heartrate monitor would be saying during a serious fragfest with 10 or more people....but I'm afraid to see the results cause I think it would be scary

I can't speak for others but we just had an awesome game of DD right down to the last second

....yeah... i figured.. hey.... blue kicking the crap outa red..... so i switched... bam..... not only did red kick ass.... 7 or 8 to what? 3 or 4?..... considering... that i switched teams when the blue were 3 and the red 0..... damn.... i had a sweet game there to as i had WICKED SICK..... for awhile... till MadGoat laid a hefty smackdown of missles up my arse....

BTW, according to the logs.. and my graph of available bandwidth... as well cpu ussage..... i can pack a hell of alot more people on this server... probably could host multiple servers on one ( even with the duron 950mhz)

Anyways..... we used about 5-15% of my bandwidth available.. (most of the higher percentages are due to SOOOOO Many people connecting.... but not having the bonus packs... and TYRING to download them from the server....)

BTW, here's some pics.... total size of all 6 combined is just over the 300kb...

i shoulda taken a picture of the pings.... but.... what's the point... they were NEVER above 200ms... for sure.... most ofthe time they were no more then 150ms.....

BTW, the pics i took at RIGHT before i had to leave....

Currently te server is dead... no one on... i'll be back in about 2 hours.... hope to see you guys around! (hopefully ALOT more people)

game is still DOM.... sorry for the goalscore... but i thought it would be similare to orginal... abviouslly not... i'll fix this later....
