"Canada's copyright agency has OK'd the downloading of copyrighted music from Peer to Peer networks - for now, at least - slapping a small tax onto MP3 music players. The Copyright Board of Canada declined to extend existing levies on blank audio and CD recordable media to DVD recordables, or to removable memory, such as Compact Flash or MMC cards . . . "

Canada is not legalizing mp3 downloading across the board, reports to the contrary notwithstanding.

"Copying off the Net is legal in Canada only if the copy is made on a medium ordinarily used by consumers to copy music," a source tells p2pnet

actually... there taking something no specific and trying to lay ground work to smooth over the riot in the US....

sad.....

What i know now... MP3 players are now have a small extra tax on them.... meaning... it's for SURE not ilegal.....

....canadian money.... well.... isn't work much in comparison...... but.... then again.... US money.... isn't worth anything either if you think about it...... Our Dollar used to equal the US dollar..... then *can't remember at the moment* happened... killed our dollar.... Meh.... i'd rather see someone come up with a way to produce mass ammount of gold..... then there would be a massive problem... as nothing would be worth anything....

..... the paper people hold onto is meerly paper with a value stamped on it...... that value is judge by the ammount of gold... and value of the gold a certain contry has in it's holding.... all money is based off the gold in the world..... i know the ecomony also played a big park... but it still all relies on gold...

however... there's a slight problem... it's not good for the canadian dollar to have a high value.... it doesn't effect us in a good way... it actually makes consumers worse... and farmers get TOTALLY roughed over by it....

Yeah.. i was also amazed to see the dollar hit 75 cents...

how long ago was it that the $1 was actually worth $1?
