Default Post Nintendo gets ready to go online

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...1&e=4&ncid=582

Nintendo plans to launch it's online segment of the Gamecube this fall. The first game will be Phantasy Star Online, developed by Sega Corp. who now is basically a software-only company as opposed to the hardware/software company it used to be.

Both the broadband and dialup adapters will carry an MSRP of $34.95, so I'd expect to see em goin for $25-30USD at or near launch if availability isn't terrible.

I've got NO broadband in my area - and I work 2 miles away and we get ADSL there - bummer
Fastest I can get is 64k ISDN. I could go 128k, but I need my phone line :/

And if any BT or cable telcos are browsing PRICE isn't the problem - AVAILABILITY is the problem

i know how you feel, last year it was hard to find any stable broadband connection at all, i had verzion dsl but it slower than 14.4kbps modem lol. so i decided to wait a while and than i got acecape dsl service and so far 7 month stable connection, few outrages but short ones. the speed is 786/128, as soon as i get a job(HS Student) i might upgrade to 1600/368 dsl connection.

feel sorry for 56kers..
