A64 FX-51 Named "Gaming Rig of the Year"

LAS VEGAS, NEV.-JAN. 9, 2004-AMD (AMD: NYSE) announced today that the AMD Athlon(tm) 64 FX-51 processor was voted "Gaming Rig of the Year" for 2003 by the editors of Computer Gaming World, a Ziff Davis Media Game Group publication.

Well, when you look at value.... You coulda bought a 2.8c and overclocked it and still have money left over. That A64 would cost a pretty penny when it came out.

Although if money aint an option...

yeah, I love the 2.4C, it will be almost as fast as the AFX (after overclocking to a 300+ FSB) and cost a fraction of the price and let you still use your old ram.

It should be named "Dream" Game Rig Of The Year~ Kudos to AMD though. Their 64-Bit gamble paid off. :nod:

Nah, 2.4c isn't good anymore. The 2.8c dropped so much in price that it's the way to go now.
