DNA Drivers 9.3.10a VS Omega Drivers 2504 VS ATI Catalyst 3.10

Onlynewz now have their review up.

"Looking at the settings used in the DNA package, shows that IQ is being sacrificed for FPS. Though this may be good for some gamers, the people that are paying top $ for there graphics cards may want to take note of this. DNA is doing things that remind me of similar issues that NVIDIA has taken a lot of flak over.

When you take a look at OpenGL you see what makes DNA’s appear faster in some games such as noted earlier Call of Duty. Also a lot games by default have or should have V-Sync Enabled for a very good reason. Turning off V-Sync can lead to problems in some games even visual artifacts and/or tearing. "

I enjoyed reading this review. It simply re-affirms what's been already posted by Neon.

Thanks for posting the link!

BINGO and thats the reason why they would never reside on my rig.

I tend to use ATi for the fact that while the quality may not be pumped up as high as Omegas set, the framerates tend to be a tiny bit higher. With my rig I want all the FPS I can get specially for NFS:U

Now if I could only fix that whole black screen when using NOS thing while still having the motion blur on

I'll never use DNA drivers because KillerSneak has stolen code and ideas from Omega and Spike... not to mention he doesn't seem to realize that he is not authorized to use ATI's trademark and IP as well. The guy is just a socially challenged dirtball.

EcPercy has a spectacular aura aboutEcPercy has a spectacular aura aboutEcPercy has a spectacular aura about

All I can say is that I am not a tweaker and will not use either driverset.. I will stick with what ATI made for my card...

From what I have seen so far from killersneak... I would never even visit his site.. posting all this S@&% about his drivers is just making people look at his site... stop giving him the time of day and the publicity.

Also from what I have seen of the KS attitude I would have to agree that it is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Also, he may be from the netherlands but he needs a spellchecker. I can't get over how this guy was speaking to the "catalyst maker" I can see that he would never have a place on the ATI Beta Testing Team. If I were at ATI, I would be sending him a cease and desist letter from my lawyers since he thinks that he can just remove the "ATI Welcome screen and license agreement" That is against the law anywhere I believe!

So my thoughts... I would trust OMEGA if I needed 3rd party drivers. It has nothing to do with being a DH member... Credentials say alot! As I said before though, I only use the Catalyst Drivers.

My last thoughts. ATI still spent all the time to make the drivers. KS did nothing. I will not say he ripped off anyones work since I haven't looked. But since he admitted that he did in another forum I would not use his drivers for that reason alone.

On a whole that review is pretty good...my only issue with it is the CNC benchmark. Whilst the Quality results look ok the performance results are being affected by the 30fps frame cap so are pretty much useless. Nice to see some good screenshots of the quality etc though.
