How do you know if a file is good or not, I'm downloading off kazaa and its 127088kb

Got it installed w/o a problem from Thunderbolt. Thanks again Thunderbolt.

I'm hosting it on WinMX under file name 1079_xpsp1.exe.

Be sure you search for "all files" or it won't show up.

BTW windows still shows 1078 but IE shows 1079. Seems faster/more responsive too.

Also have the 1068, 1078 and desktop wording remover available.

my 127,089KB
138,130,192 Bytes

was not corrupt because I've unpacked it successfully with winrar
and I'm currently running Build 1079 on the computer I'm writing this reply.

checked IE and it's 1079 there. but my buddy installed 1079 and it's under system properties.... too many different 1079's going around

I had WMP9.... but when i uninstalled 1078, and installed 1079, i have wmp8.... did this happen to anyone else?

The leaks of MSN 5 and WMP9 are not included in any of the SP1's, they're individual leaks.

I want to slipstream the SP with the XP PRo Coorp, but i dont want to put it on a CD. I just want to put it on my Hard Drive. Can i do this, and also, how do i slipstream, just replace the old files with the new?

BTW, i have the leaked DirectX 9, if anyone wants it. It improved my 3dmark, and doesnt seem to have any problems.

I installed 1079 over 1073 in safe mode. Both system properties and IE6 says that it's 1079.
For testing purposes only blah blah blah text on my desktop is still visible, and even it says version is 1079.

I didn't archived my last SP files, so I couldn't uninstall, had to install over previous SP.
So far so good, no problems here.

bocybo: If I have understood correctly, you shouldn't slipstream yet. In these newer SP's M$ has included a new key algorithm for XP Corporates, it does not accept any of the current keys. Or at least I don't know any that works. Just install latest SP in safe mode over last one, it works.

Don't use FIND, use GOTO. I used GOTO and was able to find the string. I am now extracting and installing.

Downloaded here last night. Installed over 1078. No problems.
Desktop/system and ie all show 1079.
(my experience with the new win media player were not as positive, but no fault of DH)

I was able to successfully Hexedit the corrupt 1079 downloaded from the 153. ftp. I installed over 1078 over 1073 over 1068 over 1050 with NO installation issues and am using it now. If someone would like me to UPload the corrected Hexedit, please advise me of your email (keep in mind that the free services often filter replies into JUNK or trash can which means you'd never see my reply or original email).

Also, my Windows Media Player 9.2601 is still installed according to the About Box of the Windows Media Player
