Via 4.51Pro Beta Drivers

This driver has not been officially "released". Test show better performance than the Hyperion 4.51v version driver, on recent VIA chipsets such as KT600, KT880, P4X400, PT800, PT880. This driver contains an IDE performance driver and IDE filter driver. This driver does not pass the Microsoft HCT and has no digital signature. (29 Jan 04)

Via seems to have linked there post to there 4 in 1's version 4.49. You can find the 4.51 Pro's on Via's FTP site or I Here. I'll Host them untill they fix the link.

I think I'll wait until I hear more reports, about them. Don't want to be a victim of anything like the 4.50 fiasco.

I installed them this morning, before I posted them. I just finished reinstalling windows so I have them with a fresh install. I have done all my software installs, driver installs and windows updates and the drivers have been fine so far. I'm Defraging now. So when I'm finished I'll run some benches.

My MB is an Asus A7V-266E with a KT266A Chip.

I'm currently running V449vp2, would you recommend this beta driver for that MB?
