Experts: Don't panic over Windows flaw

"Windows users have been told not to panic after news of the latest Windows security bug made front page headlines in many of the world's newspapers.
Antivirus company Sophos has advised users to keep a sense of proportion and "calmly ensure all computers are correctly patched". The company said that as yet, there have not been any hackers or worms exploiting the flaws"

LOL! So much for calm. I decided to patch my small network this morning. Very slow response from MS Windows Update, about 5-10 minutes for each machine. Lots of server busy and page cannot be found. It would be so nice if MS would create something similar to the Norton Corporate Antivirus Server where only one machine needs to do the updates and the others retrieve from there.

There also the corporate version of WindowsUpdate, just add ?corporate=true after the url
ex: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/f...corporate=true

That way, you will be downloading the file for the os you need.

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com

1) add this to the above -> /catalog/en/default.asp
2) or this -> /en/default.asp?corporate=true

both links will take you to the Windows Update Catalog site.
