I pretty much didn't change any of the default video settings. I only clicked on the character shadows....or whatever it was called. The rest I left alone.
BUT, man, this game plays sweet. I only noticed some slowdown whenever I a gazillion bots coming at me all at once. ![]() It didn't take long to learn which weapons to switch to for different bots, too. Some of them around that palace were tough at first.....but I kept backing away and circling them while choosing different weapons. Those big fat ones took me longer to get than any of them. BUT, the bigger they are the harder they fall, they say. ![]() I just wish there was a manual save option in this game. I kept wanting to go on but needed to leave for a little while. I guess I'll find out if there's any automatic saves once I restart it. |

I have said it before and ill say it again, this game is looking to be one of this years top titles. awesome, especially impaling the zombies.
"The proprietary PAIN Engine puts out 100X the polygons of the latest shooters, while adding increased texture quality and the latest lighting and shadowing techniques. Plug in the Havok 2.0 physics engine, and you get a realistic environment in a totally fantastical setting. The game features 24 single-player levels, each entirely unique with virtually no texture reuse between levels. The average level is 350,000 polygons, and also incorporates advanced vertex and pixel shaders, including water, glass, volumetric lights and fog, etc. " now if that isnt I dont know what is (and yes it plays well, aint that a change!)

Awesome graphics in this - simply beautiful but the game just isn't my cup of tea. Plus it was causing real problems with my sound card. Started getting a really high pitched screaming noise which eventually took over the sound engine alltogether. could now do with some painkillers for the headache it gave me.

The engine in this game could be used for other games too- I hope that will happen, and maybe this engine will be put to good use in a game similar to HL2-
I really don't like the gameplay the most either, it's too shoot-em-up without enough strategy for me, but the graphics and engine are amazing.
