Europe's most powerful computer switched on

"Europe's most powerful computer, which operates at 8.9 teraflops at peak performance has just been turned on. It is nearly twice as powerful as HP's AlphaServer for France's nuclear energy agency CEA. I'd love to see a picture of at least part of this supercomputer. It's purpose will be to search for things like long-term environmentally compatible energy to the tracking down of minute but possibly life-threatening defects in man and material at the Juelich institute."
