DH EXCLUSIVE: "The One" - one of the fastest computers ever built

Kyle Felstein from AAC Computers recently built one of the fastest computers out there for the Vegas CyberXGames event. This computer was built to the highest specification possible and really it is just quite drool drippingly sexy. Everything is overclocked to the max with the kind of hardware we all have wet dreams about.

Kyle himself (board name "snuffy") has written an article telling us all how this beast of a PC came into existance. Check this out for yourself over here

That is really amazing, I think I'd have just cried if when it got returned the cooling was all knackered. Haha.

Excellent job, that case is really cool.

We sent 4 watercooled systems to Vegas. All of them froze solid on the return trip due to the cold temps outside. The amazing thing was that all of them thawed and worked!

ya gotta like that, all 4 recovering from the deep freeze Maybe you can keep one frozen and somewhere later in time have it brought back, wouldn't that be cool.

Zardon I have the system on the bench. (Getting it ready to ship to the guy now that it is warm here.)

What version of photoshop? I have Ver 7.0. Send me Your custom script and intructions of how to run it/bench it.

As for price an approximate cost is: $6000.00 USD

A value is hard due to the custom parts like the RAM and the etching on the case. Also I based the price off the standard fulltower that C3 makes which is not what we used but a custom one. The standard one has only one 120mm fan hole up front. This case has dual 120mm holes spaced for the radiator.

Finally I modded the MB and video card for voltage and sealing. I personally have over 60 hours in the system. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures but both the PSU and the DVD-R are polished. All the bolts are button hex head stainless steel and all are polished.

Their are dual relays to power the pump and pelts when the system is turned on. But they are wireed so that they go to one power plug in the back of the system. Also the pump can be turned on seperate from the pelts to allow line purging and such.

Finally the 9800XT was a special one from ATI. It ran 510MHZ VPU stock but had real bad pixel distortion but would run forever. Supercooling and volt mod got it to 575 clean. With more cooling it could go higher.

The game that this system should rock for is Half Life 2.....

Hope Valve gets it as right as the first Half Life.

We spent two days hand building a batch of boards from the fastest chips we have. We tested all those boards extensively and picked the most overclockeable of the lot. That is the card that is now sitting in "The ONE"
