Financial chief resigns at Atari
"NEW YORK (AP) -- Atari Inc., the maker of video games, Monday said its chief financial officer has resigned, effective immediately.
David J. Fremed left Atari, where he had been financial chief since May 2000, to "build a new business from the ground up," according to a press release. New York-based Atari said that as it searches for a successor, Harry Rubin, senior executive vice-president, will oversee the finance group. Atari is a subsidiary of Infogrames Entertainment S.A. of France. Its titles include "Driver," "Enter the Matrix," and "Neverwinter Nights." "UPDATE - Atari shares slide 4 percent after CFO resigns
Monday February 23, 10:25 am ET NEW YORK, Feb 23 (Reuters) - Video game maker Atari Inc. said on Monday its chief financial officer David Fremed resigned, and its shares fell by about 4 percent. The New York-based company, majority owned by France's Infogrames Entertainment, said in a statement it had started a search for Fremed's successor. Harry Rubin, senior executive vice president, will fill in at the CFO position on a temporary basis, Atari said. Atari shares were down 13 cents, or 4 percent, at $3.07 on the Nasdaq, while Infogrames was down 2.7 percent at 3.61 euros in Paris. " Source: Yahoo: Financial News |
