You can overclock Athlon FX chips

"OUR BOSNIAN boy wrote earlier this week about a new Via chipset and, in passing, said that people could not overclock Athlon 64s and Athlon FX microprocessors.

Well, the former is true but the latter isn't. When you boot an FX chip and start the BIOS screen, you will notice that you can change the multiplier for this processor.

How has this anomaly come about? We suspect that AMD may be being kind to the enthusiasts who have to dig deep in their pocket for the 64-bit CPU."
