To Bridge or not to Bridge

"As we discussed previously NVIDIA has announced their "HSI" (High Speed Interconnect) PCI-Express bridge chip. The HSI bridge chip allows their current line of AGP enabled boards to communicate with PCI-Express chipsets, immediately giving rise to the "PCX" range of GeForce boards that can operate in the PEG 16X slot of PCI-Express enabled motherboards. At present it seems likely that native PCI-Express graphics chips will be produced by NVIDIA later in the year."
