Nvidia CEO to present keynote @ Intel solutions summit

NVIDIA co-founder to discuss the expected results of technology advancements including PCI Express and 64-bit computing.

SANTA CLARA, CA — MARCH 3, 2004 — NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in visual processing solutions, today announced that Jen-Hsun Huang, president, CEO, and co-founder of NVIDIA, will deliver a keynote address on the opening day of this year’s Intel® Solution Summit in Las Vegas, March 7-10, 2004. Mr. Huang’s presentation will discuss the state of computing and digital media today, and the transitions that can be expected as a result of technology advancements including PCI Express and 64-bit computing.

Tony Tamasi, vice president of technical marketing at NVIDIA, will also host a breakout session to present the technology evolution of graphics, including the transition to the PCI Express bus and what is in store for the next decade.

PCI Express significantly increases bandwidth between the central processing unit (CPU) and graphics processing unit (GPU) by enabling a balanced distribution of bandwidth to those applications that require it the most. NVIDIA’s high-speed interconnect (HSI), an industry first, affords the flexibility to instantly adapt a variety of the Company’s award-winning GeForce™ GPUs to the new PCI Express bus technology with the full capabilities and throughput offered by PCI Express.

“We are joining Intel at this year’s Solution Summit to give the reseller community an in-depth look at the graphics trends that are driving the industry, such as PCI Express and our High-Speed Interconnect,” explains Dan Vivoli, executive vice president of marketing at NVIDIA. “We, along with Intel, are excited about sharing our passion for delivering digital media innovation and uncompromised computing platforms with the system builder community.”

“The Intel Solution Summit is all about giving our top resellers a close look at the technologies and solutions that will empower their customers,” says L. Wilton Agatstein, general manager of the Intel Reseller Products Group. “Intel will continue to work with key industry players like NVIDIA to build a strong foundation for the PC industry, and we are looking forward to sharing our vision with the attendees of this year’s conference.”

Solution Summit attendees are invited to attend both the NVIDIA keynote and breakout sessions, and also stop by the NVIDIA booth for a detailed demonstration of advanced visualisation solutions, or to discuss the latest work on the PCI Express architecture.
