"UNLESS YOU have been living in a cave for the past 24 hours, you probably know that SCO filed two new lawsuits (Yawn) against Autozone and Daimler-Chrysler for various perceived infringements. SCO has never let things like evidence and facts stand in the way of
PR, and this is no exception.
What do I mean by that? Well, SCO has been threatening to sue Linux users for months now. Every time it has a bit of bad news to report, it strangely manages to open a new legal front at the same time. One would almost say they are doing it to distract abjectly stupid members of the press (here) with shiny things. So far it has worked spectacularly.
SCO has proven nothing in court, written a lot of threatening letters, and had a lot of sound bites out there. When it announced its massive losses yesterday, some people seemed to note take the SCO spin at face value."
