OCZ PC4000 1GB Dual Channel EL Kit

When Intel released the 800 mhz front side bus cpus, the enthusiast market took a turn for the better. Suddenly we saw better cooling solutions become available as well as the need for higher speed memory. Until previously ddr 2700 (333 mhz) was the standard for most high performance applications, leaving ddr 3000 (366 mhz) and 3200 (400 mhz) for the extremists. Since the 'C' variant of pentium 4's came out requiring the need for ddr 3200 (400 mhz) as a standard we saw the market escalate for an advancement in memory speed. Ocz realized this and brought fourth the next major speed: ddr 4000 (500 mhz). Today we look at the Ocz 1 Gigabyte (2x512mb) Pc4000 Dual Channel EL kit. This kit contains two 512mb memory modules that are rated at 3-4-4-8 and 2.8v. This kit features Ocz's Ultra Low Noise 2 (ULN2) technology, which redesigns the memory pcb to reduce the amount of electrical noise that is created by higher frequencies. Ocz also has gone a few steps further in giving you the benefits of its Hyperspeed technology, giving you the guarantee of having IC's being built and selected for their ability to run at the highest frequencies possible, as well as having the firmware and SPD programmed for the denoted frequency. While the Voltage is a bit high, don't worry Ocz has included the Extended Voltage Protection (EVP). Evp ensures that the modules will be able to tolerate voltages up to 3.0V ± 5%. Ocz's lifetime warranty will cover any over volted module as long as within the regultated tolerance. With all that said lets get on with it!
