Counter-strike 2 voucher with R420?

The Inquirere seems to think so. . . .

"THE VOUCHER WARS are brewing up nicely towards critical point, as the big red Canadian company that actually cares more about NDAs than anybody else is going to offer one more game voucher with its upcoming Radeon R420XT cards."

ATI to bundle Counter Strike 2 with Radeon 420XT

"THE VOUCHER WARS are brewing up nicely towards critical point, as the big red Canadian company that actually cares more about NDAs than anybody else is going to offer one more game voucher with its upcoming Radeon R420XT cards.
We all expect something for our money. And six million bucks is quite a wedge. But maybe those six millions haven’t been wasted. Valve has to oblige ATI and assuage its lack of Half life 2 and inability to actually deliver its game anytime soon."

Umm..

So CS2 will not be free? But, if CS2 will be free then this voucher will be kinda useless.. Since a lot of people would have HL2 already.

Well, i believe if you have Half-Life 2, CS2 is free. Much like it is now.

Um, no. CS2 will have to be bought separately or, you will have to have a subscription to steam.

Will the R420 come bundled with it? No. I can say that without a doubt as the R420 will be out way before CS2 is ready for prime time. If they do it would be a pointless move on ATI's part. Perhaps steam vouchers... but in no way will it be bundled with CS2.

Hmm, hopefully there will also be a cheaper version without the game, since it will be kinda useless to actually buy a GFX card with a voucher to a game, that will come out when there is already a newer generation of cards on the market.

Another sucker voucher. HL2 doesn't seem like it will ever surface. ATI seems to like to "screw" with their customers. ATi must really think we are stupid if we are going to fall for this "voucher" crap especially since it's dealing with Valve Software a second time. How about getting HL2 out for crying out loud then promising a "voucher" for another title that probably won't even surface this year.

ATI did not make or is responsible for making HL2. Valve is responsible for that. Valve did not deliver.

Putting that simply your out of line.

Apparently you can't read. Valve screwed people on the HL2 voucher. Now ATI wants to go with Valve another time and give false hopes to people for Counter Strike 2. I for one ain't buying into this voucher crap. I wonder how many people will bite another time with this lame voucher. If the card doesn't come packaged with a game then it's a sorry arse package.

How about adding Pandora Tomorrow. You know ATi a game that will be out.
