An FPS in 96kb? Surely not!

Here's something rather special. An FPS game in 96 kilobytes. Sounds crazy? Give it a go then! The guys over at theprodukkt have managed to code an FPS that includes cool graphics and sound, but further more it weighs in at the paltry size of 96 kilobytes.

A 1.5GHz Pentium3/Athlon or faster.
512MB of RAM (or more)
A Geforce4Ti (or higher) or ATI Radeon8500 (or higher) graphics card supporting pixel shaders 1.3, preferably with 128MB or more of VRAM.
Some kind of sound hardware
DirectX 9.0b

Yeah the videos were cool. I'm glad they were finally got around to making games like they had planned. Its really awesome, but could use some sort of a physics engine. The grenede launcher just doesn't flow.

What I find funny is the textures are better than DX:IW and you should see the kind of compression they do on textures.

Quite impressive. The method for generating textures is similar to something I thought of a while ago... I think that its only now that its possible to simply leave the instructions for generating the textures in the program, because computers have the capacity to generate the textures on the fly, versus needing them precreated. In more complex variations, this might lead the way to extremely detailed dynamic terrain generated on-the-fly (which, with the proper programming, would appear for all intents and purposes to be static to the user), making massive and complex 3D maps/systems be possible to create without millions of man-hours of hand-detailing and model creation.

Donator
I even have to disable AA ad AF to play it at a decent frame rate in my r300 pro, I'm more impressed with this stuff than with the new nvidia demos
