WORM_NETSKY.Y in the Wild

As of April 20, 2004 2:05 PM PST, TrendLabs has declared a Medium Risk Virus Alert to control the spread of this malware.
This NETSKY variant uses its own Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) engine to propagate via email.

Ugh.. I fought this one for 4 hrs yesterday here at work. The funny part is, it was a person on the SECURITY team that brought the darn thing in. She was checking e-mails that were stoped by our Trend Micro boxes and she decided she wanted to check what the attachment was Soooo I spent 4 hrs cleaning 100 machines here in corp. The sad part is Symantec didn't have the correct Def for Netsky.y till late lastnight so it wasn't catching any of this. Now today they have the update correct.....
