Dixons to close 106 shops

Dixons is a major seller of PCs and electronics goods in the UK. The company said, however, that the 106 shops only represent two per cent of the entire group's "trading space".

As well as Dixons, the group owns other outlets including The Link, PC World, and Currys.

It said it will consult its staff and will probably be able to give them jobs in other stores it has.

The costs for the closure programme will amount to around £48 million, the firm said.

good..... cause they still charge $70 that is £40 for a 40GB wd hard drive... a 3 year old hard drive. overprized crap they are selling...
