Halo CE Released

The Halo Custom Edition is now available for download, providing the promised stand-alone multiplayer version of Halo: Combat Evolved that adds a bunch of new features, and support for user-created content. A valid Halo CD key from the retail version is require to install the Custom Edition. The 170 MB download can be found on fileplanet (registration required) and worthplaying.
