DVD copying software tries to skirt U.S. law

"The new software, called 123 Copy DVD, sells for as little as $19.99. Out of the box, it won't copy the vast majority of commercial DVDs, which are protected by encryption."

If it can't copy copyrighted DVDs, then there's no point in buying it. When the DVD DL burners come out users will finally be able to copy entire DVDs, which seems more important after reading this.
