thats the norm for them.....2.5 ghz on air,,,, they o/c like crazy

whats even better to me are the duron 1.6ghz's that hit up to 2.3 ghz /about 3400+ by that scale on air
and thier 266 buss cpus! that go for about $35!!!! so they o/c like crazy too

I have one rig running a 1.6 duron at 333 fsb for 2.08 ghz @ 1.5 core volts and about 40C on an el-cheapo cooler, i could go higer but for now i don't need to

NewEgg does have them still, I'd like to pick one of the 2600mobiles up, but it won't go that much faster than what I have now- I'd be better off saving for a new Video card (9800xt, x800p), or more ram.

zerodamage is on a distinguished road
System Specs

I would recommend you no longer bother with socket-a. AMD is phasing them out (No PCI Express support) and you will soon see 32-bit K8 chips for socket 754. That would probably be the way to go if you want to stay AMD.

It'll probably be a year or more from now before I go to anything that involves A64, PCI express or anything like that-
I'll probably max out what an Nforce 2 is capable of w/ lots of fast ram, an x800 (pro, xt) and the fastest Barton I can find before I throw it all away to upgrade.. Plus I would wait until the new socket type comes out anyway.
