"nVENTIV announced their two new products for 2004 at CeBit o_n March 18th in Hanover, Germany. Some information about their ST Model was already leaked o_n the net. The ST was released in answer to the competitions new model. Very little was known about their new top end model, the Mach II GT. The MachII GT is nVENTIV's high performance, 404a gassed unit. The GT model offers both performance and luxury. The Mach II GT's extreme performance is for sale at €799 of which the reseller may add Shipping + VAT to shown retail price. That converts to 980.00 USD...includes LCD display, but not the Lian Li case.
I was fortunate enough to receive the first Mach II GT to hit the USA and have been playing with it for a couple of weeks now. At first glance it appears to be exactly the same as the Mach II. Most of the changes have been internal o_nes, not readily evident to the casual observer. It uses 404a refrigerant and certain components have been optimized for best performance. The capillary tube length has been altered and certain other similar tweaks have been made. I will not publish the new capillary tube length or the other specifics here.
So what's so new and exciting about the GT model then? The biggest thing is performance. Now you can have a stock high performance 404a model without voiding your warranty and pick up around 15 degrees colder temperatures. It's also about choices. Although this article is about the GT, let's not forget the ST model. nVENTIV realizes that there are basically two things that are most important to their customers, performance and price. Since it's really not practical to try to combine both in o_ne model, nVENTIV has given us three to choose from. Now the consumer can chose between the MachII, the MachII ST and the MachII GT. All three models are compatible with each other. Now there's truly something for everyone. "
