Armari – Achieves World Record Score in Futuremarks’ PCMark2004
UK, 24th May 2004 – Armari has today become the World Record holder, scoring 7,602 in the internationally recognized PCMark2004 benchmark, which measures overall system performance.
The main components* of our latest RX-HE workstation were completely submerged in a bath of InertX PF5080 coolant which was then dropped to a chilling -40 Degrees Centigrade. InertX PF series coolants are a range of professional, safe, non-conductive and Inert replacement heat transfer fluids for liquid cooled computer systems that currently rely on water or a water based coolant. Dan Goldsmith, Technical Director of Armari said “Water is an excellent heat transfer medium, but with obvious downsides when placed at the heart of a computer system. Water and electricity don't mix... We built a custom phase change liquid chiller to demonstrate the remarkable properties of the InertX coolant, which stays as a fluid until around -90 degrees C. InertX PF coolants are based on technology that has been used to cool the world’s most powerful supercomputers for over 30 years. At Armari we strive to bring new technologies to market faster and now offer InertX liquid cooling as an option for our RX series of Dual processor Workstations.” Armari |
