Well for me there is no such Eula "Here is a copy of mine"

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

IMPORTANT-READ CAREFULLY: This End-User
License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you
(either an individual or a single entity) and Microsoft
Corporation for the Microsoft software product identified above,
which includes computer software and may include associated
media, printed materials, "online" or electronic documentation,
and Internet-based services ("Product"). An amendment or
addendum to this EULA may accompany the Product. YOU AGREE TO BE
BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS EULA BY
INSTALLING, COPYING, OR OTHERWISE USING THE
PRODUCT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT INSTALL
OR USE THE PRODUCT; YOU MAY RETURN IT TO YOUR
PLACE OF PURCHASE FOR A FULL REFUND.

1. GRANT OF LICENSE. Microsoft grants you the following rights
provided that you comply with all terms and conditions of
this EULA:

* Installation and use. You may install, use, access,
display and run one copy of the Product on a single
computer, such as a workstation, terminal or other device
("Workstation Computer"). [a1] The Product may not
be used by more than one (1) processor at any one time
on any single Workstation Computer. You may permit a
maximum of five (5) computers or other electronic devices
(each a "Device") to connect to the Workstation Computer
to utilize the services of the Product solely for File
and Print services, Internet Information Services, and
remote access (including connection sharing and telephony
services). The five connection maximum includes any
indirect connections made through "multiplexing" or other
software or hardware which pools or aggregates
connections. Except as otherwise permitted by the
NetMeeting and Remote Assistance features described
below, you may not use the Product to permit any Device
to use, access, display or run other executable software
residing on the Workstation Computer, nor may you permit
any Device to use, access, display, or run the Product
or Product's user interface, unless the Device has a
separate license for the Product.

* Mandatory Activation. The license rights granted under this
EULA are limited to the first thirty (30) days after
you first install the Product unless you supply
information required to activate your licensed copy in
the manner described during the setup sequence of the
Product. You can activate the Product through the use
of the Internet or telephone; toll charges may apply.
You may also need to reactivate the Product if you modify
your computer hardware or alter the Product. There are
technological measures in this Product that are designed
to prevent unlicensed or illegal use of the Product.
You agree that we may use those measures.

* Storage/Network Use. You may also store or install a copy
of the Product on a storage device, such as a network
server, used only to install or run the Product on your
other Workstation Computers over an internal network;
however, you must acquire and dedicate an additional
license for each separate Workstation Computer on or
from which the Product is installed, used, accessed,
displayed or run. A license for the Product may not be
shared or used concurrently on different Workstation
Computers.

* Reservation of Rights. Microsoft reserves all rights not
expressly granted to you in this EULA.

This was however because I did as Microsoft instructed & put Windows XP
back to RTM before 1102 install.

the above file was located on my 1102 Slipstream CD.

Yes You could do a slipstream update
to a Slipstreamed XP just do as you did before
the update.exe will update only the files that have
changed sinced you last updated.
I tried this my self on updates from
1090, 1097, 1102, Before I decided to test
the difference from just RTM.
Only difference seems to be the 180 Days license
RTM I Get Full License others get 180 Day.

i still believe i'll get the most when i install the SP right over the RTM period. NOT over and over and over.. others SP build.
re 180 days.. AFAIK the eula (text file concerned/came with SP) will be placed in X:\windows\system32..
Now for v1102.. just delete the mentioned file then reinstall v1102 again.. the file which says 180 days shud not be there this time.
that's for ppls who still curious about it if anyone want to try go-ahead. i cud be wrong you know!

XP will always ask for CD-key when installing.

If XP Pro you need XP Pro key.

SP1 Slipstream will update the original CD
with same type "XP Pro will become XP Pro SP1".

here is example slipstream command

say you got sp1 in c:\sp1
say you copied XP CD to C:\xpcd

in run box on start menu you could type this

c:\sp1\update\update.exe -s:c:\xpcd

that will cause Sp1 to start it will show update
screen & progress of integration.

LOL, it seems like I am answering my own questions! Well, I installed SP1 v1102 and it runs perfectly fine. I didn't archive my files because if I did, it won't let me uninstall back to No Service Pack hehe

Default Post error installing sp1

Hi,

I d'l'd and extracted SP1 okay, but when I run update, I get the following error dialog: "Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the Cryptographic service is running on this computer."

I checked services, and that service is running. I have the corporate edition of XP, and I'm not using the FCKGW... key.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

TIA.

redownload it. Your not getting all of it or its corrupt from where you got it. Try a different link.

am i correct to assume that the famous FCK key won't work on a legal version of XP Pro? (not corp, but pro, like you buy in a store)
