Yes You could do a slipstream update to a Slipstreamed XP just do as you did before the update.exe will update only the files that have changed sinced you last updated. I tried this my self on updates from 1090, 1097, 1102, Before I decided to test the difference from just RTM. Only difference seems to be the 180 Days license RTM I Get Full License others get 180 Day. |

Don't worry if it is gonna expire in 180 days, it's not like the Final SP1 isn't gonna be released

SP1 Slipstream will update the original CD with same type "XP Pro will become XP Pro SP1". here is example slipstream command say you got sp1 in c:\sp1 say you copied XP CD to C:\xpcd in run box on start menu you could type this c:\sp1\update\update.exe -s:c:\xpcd that will cause Sp1 to start it will show update screen & progress of integration. |

Enjoy the new XP SP1. I have seen some marked speed increase with 1102 on my system. Windows for example boots in 30 seconds from cold start at RTM it took 56 seconds. |

LOL, it seems like I am answering my own questions!
Well, I installed SP1 v1102 and it runs perfectly fine. I didn't archive my files because if I did, it won't let me uninstall back to No Service Pack hehe

Hi,
I d'l'd and extracted SP1 okay, but when I run update, I get the following error dialog: "Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the Cryptographic service is running on this computer." I checked services, and that service is running. I have the corporate edition of XP, and I'm not using the FCKGW... key. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? TIA. |

am i correct to assume that the famous FCK key won't work on a legal version of XP Pro? (not corp, but pro, like you buy in a store)
