Newegg, Wal-Mart claim Doom 3 & Half-Life 2 not too far off

"ACCORDING TO RETAILERS NEWEGG and Walmart.com, both Doom 3 and Halflife 2 aren't far away from release at all.

The sites list Doom 3 set for release on the 20/21 July 2004, and Halflife 2 on 02 September 2004. Exactly how reliable these dates are is questionable, since retailers and developers are always pushing release dates back and forth. Well, not forth.

Authentic or not, I bet gaming geeks are literally pulling their long greasy ponytails off in frustration from having to wait so long for both of their most anticipated games. If you've got a decent PC though, I'll almost guarantee the games will be worth the wait – now all we need is Duke Nukem Forever..."
