I'm curious. At the end of the eula, this is written,
EULAID:WX.4_PRO_RTL_EN Could someone let me know what "WX.4_PRO_RTL_EN" stands for? Thx. |

How about setting this post at the start of this thread ? I usually read the entire thread before starting a download, but some don't. Save them some time/bandwidth to know that 1106 is the same file. I'd like to know a way to aviod the 180 day timebomb without a format, if possible. I'd like to keep 1106 and avoid MS as much as possible. |

Anyone able to tell what this means?
EULAID:WX.4_PRO_RTL_EN Specifically the RTL_EN section. It was located at the bottom of the eula in the sp1 1106 I downloaded. |

i've tested it.
no "for testing purpose only" no "180 day lisence EULA" no "v.1106" after "Service Pack 1" and VLK CAN be used to install the SP1(1106) slipstreamed corp version xp installation files (i burned it onto an cd-r)!

Question:
As a computer novice I did something that I feel might be stupid. After reading everything on the forum (i got daring) I deleted the eula text with the 180 day limit from c:\windows\system32 directory and re-copied the original eula text from the original winxp pro cd and pasted it back in the c:\windows\system32 directory. Did I get rid of the 180 day limit by doing this? |

Deleting text in the EULA does not change the actual 180 day limit because that is encoded in the Windows files once you install the service pack.

That is if you don't want to reformat. But if you do boot to cd and repair, I believe it does a search for a previous windows install and then asks if you wish to repair that install or do a new install. |

All done. XP deletes the sp1 files (1106) and returns to the orginal CD files. Reinstalled 1106, and that gave a non 180day EULA. All set

So how do I change my registration key without re-installing? I apologise if this question has been answered before, but I am new here and have a key that is apparently not liked by the SP.

Simply enter a legit key from a legit copy and your worries will be ended.

But if you dwell in the zone where Mr. Burns, umm Bill Gates has way to much money as it is ![]() sounds like your either using FCKGW-xxxxxx key or a resealing package both wont work, as you will see on earlier posts As far as not reinstalling, maybe Mr. Pinky can help I cant, I will not install SP over an existing install, I'm running clean Thanks again David If you want to reinstall, run keygen if you have one searching for Corp keys 100 for results might take a while be patient I got 3, and they all work BACKUP FIRST Boot using a copy of ME or something, run Fdisk /MBR to clean boot records format Fat 32, XP defaults to other format ![]() Boot your XP CD, dont enter FCKGW-xxxxxx key, enter one of the keys generated before you reformatted. No resealing package, roast it, its crap ![]() enter key, Run SP1 then reinstall your software hope I helped, Im new round here too Watch for post's from David though, he's a sharp one
