Norton AntiVirus 2005 Beta preview

"Symantec already started to develop the latest AntiVirus software suite for year 2005, I have the beta installed and would like to write some stuff about it.

Like older versions, the options and all looks the same but now with some more options and the design has some small changes. It all works like the old way and is explained very good in the Help and Support center.

The first thing you have to do(when finished installation) is to register this product, skipped this process and directly after that you get a message that Norton AntiVirus 2005 beta has a 90 days subscription to the virus protection updates. After clicking next you get the Thank you message with some details about the tasks that start after you finish."

Considering NAV 2K4 runs like crap and is somewhat buggy, I wouldn't touch a beta from them with a 10 foot pole. Based on what I've read from folks that have played around with it, still bloated and nothing truly remarkable about the product. Others do a better job finding more baddies with 1/4 the size of the footprint.

It was a pretty bad review. Guy didn't even test the software.
