Doom 3 Preview

Doom 3 has been billed as one of the biggest games of 2004. With a massive fan-base and a huge 4 year development time, John Carmack and the wizards at id software hope to have created something that will rock the gaming world. Indeed, even if Doom3 itself is not the success it hopes to be, the parts which make up the game should live long in the PC gaming world.

I think it's going to be an close call between HL2 and Doom 3, but I think Doom 3 is going to sell better.

don't bother me if it's going to be a close call. i will be having both games if hl2 does arrive when they say.

im looking forward to games based on the engines of these games, hopefully being licensed as we speak. I will not get Doom III, not into horror games. HL2 doesnt seem so bent on scaring you, so Ill see what reviews say. But DoD 2, CS2 could be promising if they take full advantage of engine physics, etc.
