Default Post Control Panel Double Tabs

The new drivers work great on my Laptop with Radeon m-6.

The control panel displays doubles of the tabs at the top. Anyone else seeing this?

How to fix?

Well that's fast after all they just released a patch for the 6143's & 9700 2 days ago.
Guess I'll have to give'em a try.. Installed SP1 on monday and ever since the device manager shows 2 radeon 9700's installed. Not even a clean driver install helped

What double tabs? I don't have any?

It's possible that if you have a tweaker installed it 'might' be keeping your old registry settings active for Custom Displays or something like that.

Everything seems to work great for me. I even regained about 450 points back in 3DMark over the 9056 leaks. I gained a new option in the control panel! TRUFORM!! Never had that option before.

They installed fine right over top of the 9056 leaks. No uninstalling anything, no tweaks needed.

I did have to enable W-buffer for LeMans 24 Hours though, otherwise the cars would have flickering body textures, but it didn't appear to affect any other games, they ALL still work. Anti-Aliasing appears to work for me too. Other than the above mentioned setting, I appear to have 100% compatibility with everything.

Finally, an official "Catalyst" class driver from ATI that works correctly for me.

BTW, I installed the 4.43 4in1's just before installing these 2.3 Catalyst's, don't know if that really made any difference though.

Hey, is there a quick way to mod these drivers for use w/ a Radeon Mobility 7500? I don't need any of the "Tweaks" that Cyborg is so famous for (although I use his drivers, of course). Anyone know a quick way to edit the inf for the offical releases to do this?

Thanks~

According to an ati official that posted on Rage 3-D your still supposed to apply the patch over these drivers to fix the Opera/Mozilla as well as game bugs.. He recommends applying the patch in safe mode as well.

It's a 3-D patch for the 9700 pro card and can be downloaded at the ati site, here
http://www.ati.com/support/infobase/4081.html
Patches availuable for XP 2000 98/ME and Sireric also recommends installing the patch in safe mode.. Couldn't find the exact post

For Radeon 9700Pro users, please install the new CATAYLST 2.3 and overlay the patch on top of it. The patch is actually based on CATAYLST 2.3 + the fix for bf1942, The thing and Mafia.

Well the truth of the matter is I was havign the same problems they were describing in that patch with Direct3D corruptions and the such in Morrowind. The patch corrected it for my R8500 reguardless of it claiming to work only for R9700
