Nvidia won't put 6800 LE in retail

EVEN THOUGH WE REPORTED Here that Nvidia's Geforce 6800LE will hit the retail market, Nvidia actually has other plans for it. This card will remain OEM only, and if you don't want to buy several thousand pieces, you won't be able to get one, sorry about that.

It's clearly a political and strategic decision as Nvidia saw its 6800 LE card as competition to its upcoming NV43 part. For Nvidia it's much cheaper to produce the NV43 than its NV40 derivate, the same old chip just crippled by speed and pipes.
