Enormous OEM demand ate our X800s
ATI'S PR MACHINE is again ignoring us but we are used to this - I guess everyone can say that they are on vacations. Everyone needs a holiday. Still all you need to do in order to get some information is to listen to the conference calls that it has to hold for its investors. You get the answer to many questions....
Someone in ATI called Dave but not the famous Orton was talking in conference call that they held some two days ago and relayed some interesting stuff about ATI marchitecture. Dave was precise enough to say that the reason for the lack of X800 cards in retail is the enormous percentage of OEM orders. He was brave to state that ATI prefers the OEM market to the Retail and I am sure that its retail partners will understand that. He also added that OEMs get a larger percentage of cards than they would usually do but that's just fine. It's a chip company - the more chips it sells, the more money it earns. inquirer |
