World Cyber Games coming to San Francisco

The World Cyber Games Final will be holding a giant LAN party as part of the festivities when it comes to San Francisco October 6-10. A "Bring Your Own Computer" multiplayer party will take place on the lawn in front of City Hall at the fourth annual gaming festival and competition. It is the first time the event has taken place outside Korea.

"Gamers can expect to have their skills and strategic thinking challenged to even higher levels by competing against some of the best players in the world," said Hank Jeong, CEO of the World Cyber Games. "A passionate gamer may be going head-to-head against the eventual winner from among 700 national players coming to San Francisco."

The field is open play, allowing gamers to play the games of their choice 24 hours a day. One-day passes are available for $15 and five-day passes are available for $60. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested can register and find more information at the World Cyber Games Web site.
