I'm probably done with them as well. Actually Audigy 2 has been a solid little card and Creative seems to finally have their drivers straightened out. But I'm definitely going to look at alternatives when it comes time to buy.

WTF?! Games don't even use EAX 4, which is on my Audigy 2 ZX and now we have EAX 5? So my card is going to be unsupported in 3 months!? Arrgghhh, Damn you creative!

don't worry, who said eax3 is unsupported still?

it'll be all good, i'm really looking towards increased gaming performance, creative cards handle gaming really well

but new cards means no new drivers for current cards...

when was the last SB Live Update you saw..that is onyl a 3-4 year old card

Those kX people should just drop out of making drivers and write an alternate environmental audio standard. Maybe it'll actually sound good too.

I have refused to buy a creative card since they screwed Aureal and put them out of buisness with bogus lawsuits. A3D was, and still is in many ways, light years ahead of EAX.

Who can ever forget the first time they played Half-Life in A3D and had the hairs on the back of their neck standup because they heard a monster coming up from behind? EAX has never given me that same sort of experiance.
