Catalyst Driver Comparison
ATi releases almost every month a new version of their Catalyst drivers. Often they improve the support for games or fix bugs, sometimes also the speed (unfortunately sometimes the improvements are cheats...). In this comparison we don't want to test the improvements in games or bug fixes, but the increase in speed with the newer versions. Beyond that we also tested the modded drivers Omega, DNA, Forsage, NGO and Unian, but not the beta-versions.
EDIT: LINK FIXED Thx guys Source: Rage3D.de |

Looks like the 3.8 drivers are very fast, a Comparison of Spirit/Omega/forsage/DNA tweaked 3.8 drivers is going to be interesting.
All though the OpenGL results are a bit dissapointing

so its not like 4.8 did gain performance, but more like it recovered the performance it used to have plus lots of fixes and new stuff? is great after all ^^
edit:hey what happened to Catalyst 4.8 news on the frontpage? u people always let that kind of news (which is of much importance not saying the other news are not) for at least 10days after the release, what happened this time :o
