Lite-On Technology celebrates 30th anniversary and opens new Neihu HQ

Lite-On Technology, a leading manufacturer of electronic and optoelectronic products in Taiwan, on August 18 held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary and the opening of its new 23-story headquarters in the Neihu district in Taipei.

The ceremony was hosted by company chairman Raymond Soong, and guests included Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian and Legislative Speaker Wang Jin-pyng, as well as the chairmen of several large manufacturers.

Lite-On Technology was the first electronics manufacturer listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, and the company was ranked 21st this year in the Business Week list of the world’s Top 100 IT companies, up from 61st last year.

According to company CFO Andrew Lin, Lite-On aims to generate revenues of NT$160 billion this year. Last month, the company shipped 600,000 LCD monitors and surpassed BenQ as the largest Taiwan LCD monitor maker.
