Lite-On IT tops ODD makers in 1H EPS

Lite-On IT recorded earnings per share (EPS) of NT$4.46 for the first half of this year, making the company’s EPS the highest among the six publicly traded makers of optical disc drives (ODDs) in Taiwan.

The other five companies are BenQ, Quanta Storage, Behavior Tech Computer (BTC), AOpen and Ultima Electronics.

BTC’s pre-tax loss was mainly due to a loss of NT$303.4 million from non-operating investments and a loss of NT$104.8 million from foreign exchange.
