Microsoft calls out hackers

THE MAKERS of the most secure operating system in the world, Microsoft is calling on hackers to try and take down its SP2 version of XP.

The fighting talk came from Vole's UK head Alistair Baker has told hackers that if they could get through a Windows XP system with SP2 running he would be impressed.

I love it, but at the same time the Linux community tried this, and it's still slapping them in the face. However, because there ARE people willing to take responsibility for the Windows security failures, I'm sure this is one way for MS to throw down the hammer and see just how their stuff ranks - and its free 'testing'...if you think about it.

Unless they start advertising this on the TV - I say more power to them!

not to mention totally unnecessary; the hackers have been at work on it since it became available

Do they have to find more holes or can they exploit the ones we already know about? And does he count the hot patch that is out?
