X700 Pro is neck to neck with Geforce 6600GT

"WE HABVE SOME X700PRO scores that we would like to share with you. Unfortunally, all we can provide is the 3Dmark03 score while even though we wanted to, we could not get you some others like Doom 3.

In 3Dmark03, the ATI card will score 7600 while the Geforce 6600GT will score 7700. We are talking about that card that will cost less than $199 - possibly $179 or less, versus the more expensive Nvidia card.

We are not actually sure what will be the selling price for the X700 Pro, but we know that X700XT comes at $199 while the X700 should be $149. I guess that leaves X700 Pro to hog the $179 price mark.

We have good reason to believe that Geforce 6600GT will be faster in Doom 3 but bear in mind that X700XT is the one to compete with 6600GT.

3Dmark05, that is still a week or two away, might turn the tables. It should be Shader Model 3.0 ready."
