Today 3DXtreme is presenting our latest review of the Ultra X-Connect 500 Watt Modular Power Supply. This unit has been all the rage since its release a few weeks ago. Is it all show and no go for this unique Power Supply or has Ultra created a force to be reckoned with?

THE PSU if you're heavy on the 12v - a whopping 34A / 408 W capability
The individual 3.3 and 5v ratings are pretty meaty, but the combined rating of 200 W is rather light for a 500w unit.

Mind you, with a hungry CPU, lots of fans, drive motors, and a power connector video card all hitting the 12v, these days, it IS where you need the power

My X-Connect has been performing like a champ so far. I agree with that review in the sense that the motherboard power connection cable is really thick and a bit difficult to manipulate, but besides that it's an amazing PSU.
